This is Ace, Patrick's robot. He had a project in school to make something out of "solid shapes" that they were studying in math. He came up with the idea to build a robot on his own and I helped him put him together and cover him with foil. I have to admit - he's pretty cute. These are the shapes he used:
Rectangular Prism: Head - butter box, Body - capri sun box, Feet - butter boxes
Cylinder: Arms - paper towel tubes & Legs - pringles cans
Cone: Hat - canning funnel
Sphere: Hands - balls of foil
He did a really good job!
