Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Christmas Day was a wonderful day!!! It was the best Christmas ever - so far. Every year they get better and better for me! I feel so lucky to have my family around me and all my kids happy and healthy. If I had to pick a day to live over and over it would probably be this Christmas. It started very, VERY early - Patrick woke up for the first time at 4 am to go to the bathroom and of course he had to sneak a peek to see that Santa had been here. Of course that meant he had to wake Mark & I up and try and convince us that it really was "morning" and we should get to the presents :) He was promptly told to "go back to bed". It wasn't too long before he was back in our room and he wanted to sleep with us so he climbed in between us and settled back down for a few minutes. Every half hour or so it would be "is it morning yet?" "Is it time to get up?" " I think I can see the sun now - is it time?" We managed to attempt sleep until about 7:00 when Benny woke up and we knew that it was pointless to just lay there and torture ourselves and them:) We had to wake Grace & Emma up because they are our sleepy heads and if left to themselves hardly ever get up before 8:30. Once we were all up it was time for presents! The kids were really good about taking their time and seeing what each other got before opening another gift of their own - except Emma. She just wanted to tear all the paper off of everything in site!! She was totally into unwrapping this year! It was so much fun to see the joy in their faces as they opened each gift. They were truly thankful to for every gift they received - even the clothes. Even as I type this 4 days later I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it and looking at the pictures again.
The tree: pre-kid attack. Stocking time!
The boys both got scooters - they were VERY happy. Not real happy that they won't be able to play with them until spring though.

Grace & her "Rose Petal Cottage". It is very cute put together - I'll have to get a picture of that sometime.
Emma and her "Cherry Blossom Market". I don't know if she really liked it of if she's just a super ham when she sees the camera!
Emma got her very first baby doll. I don't know who was happier; Emma, because she loves her doll - or Grace, who is happy that Emma has her own doll and can leave hers alone!
Grace got a birthday set to go with her "cottage".
The boys got some new movies. Don't they have just the sweetest smiles?
Emma was trying to "try on" her new pants. :o)
Grace got an all pink outfit for her dolly. Patrick took this picture of Mark & I and the other kids with the angel he made us in school. She is really cute!
This was Mark's gift from the kids. I framed pictures of all of them for him to take to Kentucky so he can see them every day.
And here we have the hit of the day - possibly their lives - Santa brought a Wii for all the kids!
They were slightly excited. Does it show?
Gracie opened an extra Wii controller and danced around singing "I got a Wii, I got a Wii!!!" I don't even really think she knew what one was but the boys were freaking out so she was thrilled too! Mark & I got Financial Peace Jr. for all of the kids. Hopefully if we teach them well right now they won't have to learn the hard way like we have. One of the biggest blessings of all this Christmas is that it is paid for! No charging anything! We haven't used our credit cards since we started our road to debt freedom and financial peace back in January!! We budgeted and saved all year and still managed to have a great Christmas! Now there will be no stress in January as bills come due! If you are struggling with money or just want to be a better steward with the money God has given you - check out a Financial Peace class near you! It's worth every penny and second you spend.
I truly hope this Christmas found all of our friends and family happy and healthy! We love you all and are thankful that God has placed each and every one of you in our lives. Merry Christmas and I sincerely hope that 2010 brings abundant blessings to you all!
