Christmas Day

After opening presents and eating breakfast at home we lounged around for a while then meandered over to Ma & Wes' house to spend the day with them and my grandparents. They cooked us a Christmas feast for sure. They were really brave!! They tried out all new recipes for Christmas - I would never have been able to do that - I'd have been to afraid something wouldn't taste good:) The beef brisket was delicious and so were all the yummy sides!! After pigging out for lunch we had a few cookies and then laid the kids down for a nap - except for Patrick, who laid on the couch in the other room and read a book. Then the adults all opened their gifts. I got some nice shirts and a calendar from Ma in the gift exchange. A nasty "Santa" had visited though and I got some ... "interesting" gifts as well :) I got some old VHS tapes and some ugly clip on earrings and a ceramic snail... Someday that 'Santa' is going to get it! After we all finished opening our gifts - the kids came in and opened up the mountain of presents for them! They made out like bandits as usual :) I think I'm going to have to add on a room for all of their presents! It was a wonderful day with my family. The only thing that could have made it better is if James could have been there. It's been too many years since I've gotten to spend Christmas with my brother and I miss him a lot. I hope that some year soon it will happen again.
The snack table got a lot of action that day:)
The cooks.
Centerpiece on the dining room table.
The tree was surrounded by presents - I don't even think they were all under the tree yet when I took the picture!
Doesn't the beef brisket look yummy?? It was.
All together for Christmas.
Mark with a gift from "Santa". It even had spray painted wrapping paper and was held together with duct tape!
I got Nan a calendar.
I think Papa just opened something "nice" :)
Ooohhh - Nan got some monogrammed coasters from "Santa". Isn't she lucky.
Mark got Wes a book for the gift exchange.
Patrick looking lovely. Very festive.
Me and my nice little pet snail from "Santa".
All four of the little ruffians up from their naps and ready to attack some more presents!
Emma loved her new soft crinkly dolly.
Grace, Emma, and I all got matching bracelets. Guess what??? I cried. Surprising, I know!
Gracie with some doll house furniture. I think she's just about completely furnished now!
Mmmmm. Opening all those presents made us hungry again. We had some yummy finger food for dessert. (we did use spoons for the jello)
Gracie and her "best buddy" Grampy.
The kids got a shooting gallery game and Mark was "helping" Gracie.
We brought the Wii over and tried it out. Patrick was attempting to play tennis.
