Galena - Day 1: Galena Cellars

Galena Cellars Vineyard

After our adventure on the river we decided that we'd check into our motel and then head back into Galena for a tour and tasting at one of the local wineries, Galena Cellars.  Emily and I went there last year where I was converted into a "wino" ;)  The tour was really interesting and the tasting was great.  So, I had to give up the keys after only two glasses of wine...what's your point?  It must have been the empty stomach....yeah, we'll go with that.

Us girls at the winery.
Grape vines along the road.
This was our tour guide.  However, his name escapes me.
These will be yummy wine someday :o)
The "cellar". These are the tanks and barrels that the wine is aged in.
The bottling room.  They bottle about 10,000 bottles a year.
This the gift shop and tasting area.  There is also a suite for rent upstairs.  I'm afraid if we ever stayed here...we'd never leave!
This farmhouse is for rent also.
Our snack...YUM!
Me with my Late Harvest Riesling....Mmmmm.
Ronda wasn't as much of a fan of the wine as Em and I were.
I think Emily was enjoying her drink.
On the porch outside the tasting room.  It really is beautiful here.
Pretty.
