While we were in Chicago for the shower we stayed at Reid & Charly's house. It was so nice of them to let us stay there!!! We spent the night there and then the next morning Reid taught the kids how to play Mario Kart while Charly & I debated whether or not to get up:) Good thing Reid made some coffee! Such a good brother! We went to Grandma & Grandpa's house and had a yummy breakfast and then it was off to the Field Museum!!! Boy, did the kids have a blast!

Emma kept digging through
Charly's closet and coming out in her shoes! I almost stole this pair myself!

A bunch of
monkeys!

Yikes!

I love this picture! It was taken from the upper level of the museum out a window. Almost looks like a postcard!

Dinosaurs! The kids were in absolute awe!

They all fit in one
Dino footprint.

Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley!

Goofs!

This was hilarious! Nate is pretending to pick that critter's nose! I almost fell over laughing! Good thing I got the picture first :)

This is
Lyuba, she was the baby mammoth that they found in the ice. My favorite part of this trip for sure! It was very neat - of course they had a big Mammoths &
Mastodons exhibit to go along with her.
Awwww.... had to take time out for a group hug!

Last time we went Grace & Benny were scared to death of "The Underground" where you are "shrunk" and you see everything that is underground and it all seems huge. This time - not scared a bit! They all loved it :)

Ready to see it all!

Fun times :)

Rollin' along.
Dad got a wheelchair for the day since he'd had surgery on his Achilles tendon a few weeks before. Grace proclaimed herself Grandpa's official "pusher"....most of the time that involved riding on the back of the wheelchair while Grandpa did all the work! I like how that girl thinks ;o)

We watched a very interesting 3-D movie about dinosaurs. The boys were so funny! I think this was their first 3-D experience and they kept trying to touch stuff that looked close to them.
Hitchin' a ride.

What a crew!

They had models of prehistoric poop. The kids thought it would be hilarious to pretend to eat it! YUCK! It was pretty funny though...

Nate & Gracie

Benny & Nate

Outside the museum. Diana took them all out to the front and had them run up and down the stairs a bunch of times before we got in the van to go home.

This was Emma 3.2 seconds after we left the museum. Grace followed shortly after.
What an awesome weekend!
