Luau at the Lake

Although it was a month after she graduated, I hosted a party in honor of Emily's graduation from U of I in May. Had the party at Spin Lake at the beach. I went with a "Luau theme" well - basically just because I thought it would be fun :) Much less boring than black graduation decor! Emily's family was there and my Dad cooked the dogs and burgers for us. The kids were able to play in the water some and we all had a good time. It was really nice to see Emily's family - I hadn't seen most of them in a while. Here are some pictures....

This picture doesn't come close to doing justice to the storm that blew in just as we got everything picked up. As soon as we got everything in the cars - the wind started blowing at gale speed and it got pitch dark. Whew - we made it back to Daddy & Diana's just in the nick of time!
