Yesterday afternoon/evening Mark took the boys to see their first hockey game! Patrick won a free ticket to a hockey game for raising over $150.00 for Jump Rope for Heart - thank you to everyone who donated to such a good cause! They had a blast! They even got to see four fights! Our team won 5-2 and the boys were thrilled. I think we have some new hockey fans in our midst. Mark had fun spending time with just the boys and he remembered how much he liked hockey!
While the boys were out "bonding" us girls had a good time at home. Grace and I baked brownies together just the two of us. It was so much fun. This was the first time that we have gotten to do something in the kitchen just the two of us - it was a special day for both of us. We both put on our aprons and put our hair up in a ponytail then we got down to business. Grace poured the water and oil into the mix and was SO excited when it was time to "quack" the egg! After we mixed the batter all up of course we had to "test" it to make sure that it was going to be OK to eat....about 10 spoonfuls later (for both of us) ... we decided that we had better bake them or we wouldn't have any to eat later! In the oven they went and by the time Grace & Emma were up from their nap they were all nice and ready to eat. Even Emma got a tiny bite! It was so much fun. I'm looking forward to spending lots of time in the kitchen with all the kids as they grow up.
