Firsts!

The past day has been a day of firsts for Emma. Last night she caught the tummy bug that Grace and Benjamin have had off and on for the past few weeks. There's nothing more fun than a baby that barfs in it's bed and doesn't know what else to do except to roll around in it. Nice. So I was up until about 12:30 doing laundry, making sure we had plenty of clean crib sheets and blankets. It worked....since I was prepared she didn't throw up anymore. You know what would have happened if I hadn't washed them though....she'd have done it five more times! That was her 'first puke'. By the way.....there is no mistaking the difference between spit up and puke - the smell gives it away every time.

Emma's other first - hold on....are you sitting down? She took her first steps today!!!! I was at my Dad & Diana's house and Diana set her down and she was just standing there in the kitchen and she took three or four steps to get to me! It was so cute! I can't believe she's growing up so fast. Yesterday was her 11 month birthday! What a big girl. Unfortunately it happened to quick to get a picture of it but I'll try too add one later.
