Carving Pumpkins

On Saturday we went over to Daddy & Diana's to carve our Halloween pumpkins! It was so fun. I missed Mark though...I ended up carving 3 pumpkins! My hand was so tired when I was done. It was fun though - the kids really enjoyed it, especially the boys. Patrick designed his pumpkin and carved part of it by himself - Grandpa just helped a little :) Benny had his own design as well but Grandpa did all the carving for him. Grace wanted her pumpkin to look like the shirt she had on - I took care of that for her and she loved it. I used a really cute pattern for Emma's and I made mine a pirate skull since the boys have been into pirates lately. We were all were so happy that Nathan was able to come down and carve pumpkins with us! Here are some pictures of our carving adventure.
Patrick was all about scraping the pumpkins this year!
Benny - digging away.

Grace wanted nothing to do with the "guts". I told her that it was all part of carving pumpkins and she should try to help a little so she picked up one little seed that was sitting on the edge of the pumpkin and dropped it into the bowl. She was so proud of herself for her accomplishment :)
