100th Post! Girls' Day

Today the girls and I had a fun day together. I took them to my chiropractor appointment this morning where Grace decided she 'loved' Dr. Kurt (he gave her a band aid). Then since I really hadn't spent much time alone with just the girls before the boys went to school, I decided to let Grace tell me what she wanted to do for the day. She chose chicken nuggets for lunch but I really hate McDonald's so we ended up eating lunch out at Buffalo Wild Wings. Emma was just glad for some food - she doesn't care what it is or where it comes from!! I swear she has a hollow leg - I don't know where she puts all of the food she eats. After that I asked Grace where se wanted to go and she announced that "she wanted to go shopping for clothes". I knew I had girls for a reason!!! I was more than happy to oblige that request! We walked around an outdoor shopping center and went to a few stores and I got the girls a couple of matching shirts on sale and even a top for me. Outside of one store I bumped my rear on the door and it hurt and I said so to Grace. She then proceeded to rub where I had hurt myself and ask if that made it feel better:) Such a sweetie. Then Grace decided it was time for a snack and she wanted a cookie. So we stopped in at Gloria Jean's Coffee and she picked out a sugar cookie with pink icing and sprinkles to share with Emma. She also picked an orange & cream Jones soda for us to share. After our snack we shopped a little more and in one store she got to play with some wooden magnetic dolls that you could change clothes on and she fell in love with them. I think she is going to put those on her list to Santa. Then I watched her play in the little play area in the middle of the shopping center for a few minutes before it was time to go home. It was so much fun just doing whatever she wanted to do and talking about whatever she wanted to talk about. I don't get many chances to do that and I truly enjoyed every minute of our day together. I wish I'd have taken my camera - but for once I was without it. Thanks Grace & Emma for a perfect "girls' day". I'll have to try that with the boys someday - but that kind of scares me....I wonder what they will want to do?
