The kids started a summer reading program through one of the local libraries. They are loving it. They each have to read 5 books a week to make their goal. For Patrick that is a cinch. He reads all of the time. The others of course have to have their books read to them. Guess who gets that job? The library has a couple of programs each week too. The opening program was great. A wildlife park brought out some of their animals for the kids to see and learn about. They loved it! They got to see a Peregrine Falcon, a box turtle, a bull snake, a skunk and a toad.
The falcon was really neat!
Patrick was not impressed with the snake - the other two thought it was cool.
The kids got to touch the turtle.
